Bokutachi wa Akuma: Chapter Fifteen

Kazuki come here!” The young, youthful voice called out down the hall of their upper floor suit. The young male popped his head out of his door, his midnight black hair peeking out from underneath his hoody.  Not a moment later, Kazuki's head poked out from his bedroom door, which was only across the hall. “Have you been telling people that I know who is killing people?” Ruka's almost emotionless tone was soft yet hollow.

Kazuki clenched his teeth together, looking away from Ruka, avoiding his hypnotizing eyes.
“Um.” He wasn't going to lie to him, he would only know he would be lying anyways. “Yes.” He looked up through the part in his bang. Ruka may have only been in his life for only a couple of weeks, but Mizuki knew that he was someone that he could look up to as an idol. Ruka was cool, even if he was quiet and didn't like talking to others.

Ruka dropped his gaze as well; he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Dropping his arm from the opposite side of the frame of the door, he walked passed Kazuki to the staircase down to the main floor where Kazuki's parents resided.
“All right then.” He sighed on his way down the stairs.

Kazuki stepped out of his doorway, trotting to stand at the top of the stairs.
“Where are you going Ruka nii?” his hand gently rest on the railing, his dark eyes following Ruka down the staircase.

At the bottom, Ruka's light brown, snake-like eyes peered back up at Kazuki from under the hoody.
“Going to find out who is killing people so the people you are telling this to are not disappointed in you when they find out I don't know.” With two fingers together, Ruka salute-waved off to Kazuki. “See you.” His cold, soft voice had silenced when he left the small staircase. As always, outside was bright and hot. All Ruka had to wear was his thin, black hoody and dark, chained pants. On his way out the door, he grabbed a bright red umbrella.

The search was going to be difficult, Ruka had started wandering the streets for the remainder of the day, standing out by being dressed darkly and carrying an umbrella in 32°C weather. Though barely visible, Ruka's soft eyes scanned over every person that he passed slowly. He sniffed; everyone seemed normal, which was not what he was looking for. He searched for a mysterious scent; one that only death could carry. Ruka stopped, looking up into the skies, a small scent caught his sensitive nostrils, it came from the north, someone, or something was coming his way, and quickly.

On either side of their toy as usual, Akira and Kyoukei rode in the back of a heavy duty Cadillac. They had just met with their under studies again, their minions as some would call. The same scent that caught Ruka's nose; caught Akira’s. The three of them carried the same scent of unnatural longevity; Ruka in this case was faint and weak. Tapping the driver on the shoulder, Akira looked back to Kyoukei.
“Stop the car.” He paused a moment, a smirk appearing in the corner of his lips. “We’ll get out here.” Kyoukei returned the smirk to him, detecting what he had discovered; the strange, faint scent.

The black Cadillac pulled up the curb; the back passenger doors opened and all three suited men exited the vehicle. Adjusting the collar of his blazer, Kyoukei exited roadside, Yuichi was right behind him. Curb side, getting out most casually, Akira’s aura was powerful; he seemed most cocky of all as well.

He searched, his dark, snake like eyes darted all around him. Whatever this was, it was close and it was powerful. His powerful, mysterious eyes stopped abruptly his fingers loosening their grip on the umbrella, letting it fall to the ground. His snake like eyes narrowed in seeing the three men struts on the sidewalk in his direction.

In a row, the three men approached the small boy; Yuichi located in the middle again. Akira wore a black metallic blazer today, his bare chest glistening in the sunlight. The shiny, sparkle like substance down the side of his neck gleamed even brighter then the blazer he wore. They slowly came to a stop, towering over the small boy. Ruka’s snake like eyes narrowed further, glaring up at the men.
“It’s you.” He snarled at them. “You are the one killing everyone.” Ruka's lacked respect towards these mysterious men.

One glance at Yuichi then Akira’s gaze moved over to Kyoukei, smirking slightly as he looked back to the boy.
“Nosy brats like you should stay out of the business of others’.” He placed a hand on his hip, shifting his weight to one side.

Ruka's glare continued, he had just found the truth that just revealed itself to him, and it was a cruel, dark secret.
“You are not human. You are Vampires.” Ruka was blunt, but he knew one when he saw one. “What reasoning do you have?” he took half a step back, readying himself for anything. Ruka may have been a young newborn, but when it came to his own species, he was more than certain when detecting one.

Akira looked to Kyoukei again, his long, wavy hair falling from behind his ear slightly. Both Akira and Kyoukei’s dark eyes meeting strongly, conversing with each other silently about their toy in the middle. Slowly they both leaned in, their silky fingers caressing over his jaw, tilting Yuichi’s head back stiffly. Simultaneously their lips parted, large white fangs peeking out from behind their moist lips. Their soft, pink tongues licking across Yuichi’s white, trembling flesh. These two beasts had no fear in the eye of the public. The streets were filled with pedestrians, yet they still acted confidently in the streets.

Ruka's face dropped with disgust as he watched the beast. Yuichi let out a soft moan at the contact from their tongues; he was still weak from the last time they took his blood. Their piercing gazes looked up from under their brows, cold stares piercing through Ruka's young mind.
“You're pretty good for someone who had not yet had the taste of blood.” Akira’s strong voice was quiet in the crowded streets; his cruel tone was old and wise, unlike his own young mature voice.

Gently, Kyoukei's fangs pierced the first layer of Yuichi’s skin, drawing a small drop of blood.
“How long do you plan on waiting kid?” Kyoukei pulled away from the others neck, giving his fang a slow, gentle lick. “Until it is too late?” Kyoukei back in his time waited for that time as well. He was on the brink of insanity before he had his first taste of blood. Sometimes he thought that he still waited too long, his craving for blood never really diminished since that day came and gone.

Ruka glared at the man, stepping forward towards to cool dressed man. He felt offended; the choice was his, and his alone.
“That is no business of yours.” Now that he knew who the murderers were, he knew it would be impossible to stop them in any normal way like the police would try. They looked mature, conscious of their actions. They were monsters whom fed on a lower creature, with the only reasoning that they knew they could attack them.

Yuichi’s eyes slit open, looking down over his cheeks at the boy. Akira and Kyoukei had obviously manipulated this man into allowing them to take his blood. Akira looked to the boy and smirked.
“Young man, don't get yourself into something you can’t handle.” Akira pushed Yuichi away, pulling their pet behind him. “How about you just go home and put our business behind you.” Yuichi looked over Akira’s shoulder to the young boy. He leaned into his ear, whispering something softly. Akira looked over his shoulder, nodding once, slowly. What had he said to him?

Ruka snarled quietly, showing his small, shining fangs to these newly found enemies. He looked at all three of them one by one, he then spun, picking up his umbrella and walking away quickly. These monsters were going to pay for giving their high, aristocratic existence a bad name. In Ruka's eyes, he could not stand seeing such a beautiful creature such as humans be used like toys to those who called themselves a superior species.

Ruka stormed off home again, he needed to cool his head off from the anger that built up in knowing the killers were one of him. He stormed through the front door, closing the umbrella as he entered the open doorway. Kazuki seemed to have a sixth sense when it came to Ruka; he quickly came running from his bedroom, into the kitchen to meet him.

Holding the railing, Kazuki flew around the corner and darted straight to Ruka. He held a curious, happy smile on his bright face.
“You're home Ruka nii.” He hopped to a stop. “Did you find them already?” his deep, youthful voice was curious, like a child’s.

Ruka slithered passed Kazuki before stopping abruptly. Looking over his shoulder, Ruka blinked slowly.
“I did.” He responded slowly and solemnly. “I do not know their names.” He walked up the stairs and paused momentarily.
“But I intend to find out.” He looked to the floor as he spoke, his brown eyes hollowing. He ascended the stairs silently, back to his small, quiet room.
He sat on his properly made bed, his arms resting on his knees. His small, pale fingers played with his lip as he thought, thinking about how those monsters could be doing what they were. How they could even think about doing it without regret. Feeding upon these wonderful creatures known as humans. He couldn't imagine how the families felt, even if he could imagine, he would most likely not understand. Ruka himself was against killing anything, especially that of which that had feelings towards others. Having the ability to feel emotions and be able to show them was something that Ruka was envious of; having no memory of how to do such things like feel emotion.
