In the second day of this mysterious rain, a young male sat
at home, staring out his living room window over the back of his couch. He
blinked slowly, staring out very childishly with his mouth hanging open
slightly. His big round eyes matched his round face perfectly, giving him a
younger appearance. His bright red hair was messily spiked today; he had gotten
ready just in case someone would ask him out to do something.
The young red haired male lived in a second floor apartment
of a moderate sized building, and even from that small height, he could see
that the streets were getting soaked. Though he had gotten ready, the young
male had hoped no one would call, this weather made him feel lazy and bored.
Being stuck inside on a rainy day always seemed relaxing to him, it was a time he
could catch up on projects he was behind on.
Pivoting himself, he faced the proper way on the couch,
looking out into his kitchen. The male sighed, dropping his arms heavily on his
lap, much like a child would when they didn't get their way.
“I want tea.” He mumbled to himself, knowing no one was
around to hear. He talked to himself often, if he had no one to talk to at the
moment. The male had lived alone in a one-bedroom apartment with his dog, Nozomi.
Nozomi always kept him company, except for today; she was in a different room,
most likely sleeping. “I'm going to have some tea.” The male talked to himself
again. He was making it a bad habit in talking to himself when he was alone.
The male kicked one foot out from underneath himself and made his way to the
kitchen to make some tea. A warm cup of tea on a cold, dreary day was a perfect
way to perk one’s spirit.
As he waited for his pot to heat up, a small clicking sound
made its way into the kitchen lazily; Mariko had woken up and was on the hunt
for attention.
“Nozomi.” He kneeled down and pet his small half poodle bred
dog. “Did you want some lunch?” Scratching behind her ear, the male chuckled
and got his dog some food.
“Papa Raike loves his Nozomi.” Today was a special day. Rainy
days made for special meals, she would get a wet food for a good treat. “Papa
gets delicious Oocha and Nozomi get delicious duck for lunch.” It was often the
male would talk to his pet as if it were his child, she was after all loyal to
him like a child would be.
