“Why is it always me? Can’t people just mind their own business once in a while?” The young adult washing dishes behind the waist-high counter overlooking the dining room thought to himself as he rubbed the sponge over the same plate he had been cleaning for almost five minutes. “They act like they know everything.” The young adult clicked his tongue, annoyed at the group girls who only continued to grow louder at their table.

The man tossed the plate he was cleaning in the sink filled with clean water lazily, keeping his eyes locked on the girls’ table.
“He’s so good looking!”
“Do you think he is dating anyone?”
“I wish he would come over here.”
“Oh look, he’s looking at us.”
The girls continued to banter to each other; laughing loudly at what each other said about the young man who was only trying to do his job in peace.

“Good god.” The young man tossed his sponge in the soapy dish water, leaning over the sink with his fingertips swirling through the bubbles. This was only his third day on the job, and he almost could not bear it any longer.

The manager came up behind the new, young employee, overlooking the table of girls as well. Firmly grabbing the man’s behind, looking over his shoulder at his cute face.
“Don't worry about them Kameki, you’ve got something good going on, they are just jealous of your god looks.” Caressing his behind, the manager had returned back through the kitchen to his office.

The male gripped the edge of the sink hard as he let out a slow, frustrated sigh. Biting his bottom lip hard, he could no longer take this stress; drying his hands on the apron around his waist, the male walked around the table to the annoying girls’ table, standing around them silently for only a moment. Slamming his fist down on the center of the table, the male managed to knock over all of their drinks, most of them into the individuals lap.
“Can you all just SHUT UP!”

The manager quickly came running out of the office, flying around the corner of the counter.
“Kameki!” He bowed repeatedly to his customers, grabbing Kameki’s back, forcing him to bow in apology as well. “I am so sorry for his rudeness. Kameki, apologize to our customers, now.” Even before he had the opportunity to tell him again, Kameki had come up from behind him, punching him in the face hard.
Adjusting the collar of his basic, blue T-shirt, Kameki tossed his hair in triumph and turned, heading for the door.
“Get back here now, or you're fired!” The manager sat on the floor, running the back of his hand against his lip, wiping away the blood.
Untying the knot of his apron, Kameki balled up the small uniform and threw it in one of the booths of the restaurant and walked out the door, never to return.
The stunned customers scattered throughout the quaint restaurant watched the beautiful man walk by the series of windows before he was out of sight.

“You did what!” dropping his feet from the surface of the desk, Jin leaned over his knees shocked at what he just heard.

“Yeah, yeah. I punched him in the face.” Kameki propped up his feet on the arm of the chair he sat in, leaning across it as he relaxed.

“Awe, why did you do that?” Yuichi rubbed the back of his head roughly, closing one eye sheepishly. “I liked their strawberry shortcakes.” He groaned quietly, leaning back in the couch he sat in.

“You really need to learn how to watch your temper Kame.” Holding a can of soda resting against his chin, Jun licked at the rim of it as he sighed.

“He grabbed my ass Jun, right behind the counter so no one could see.” Kameki sat up, dropping his feet firmly to the floor. “And it wasn't the first time either.”

"It is kind of gross for a man to do that but," Shou looked up from his book over his glasses, which everyone questioned for he did not require reading glasses to read. "You are good looking for a man Kame." Shou was only trying to make him feel better about the situation, yet it only got him a dirty look in return.

Tetsuya sat in the corner of the sectional couch, quietly munching on Pocky with his knees up against his chest. The other three men looked to him, waiting for him to add his opinion about Kameki's fiasco at his third job this month. Holding the tiny stick of Pocky between his lips, Tetsuya looked around at them confused.
"Wh-what?" It was obvious that he was not paying attention at all.

Spinning in his chair, Jin rolled his eyes at Tetsuya.
"Do you ever pay attention?" He chuckled lightly at him, showing his obvious sense of sarcasm.

"But look really, it shouldn't be too hard for me to find another job, I was hired on the spot with that job wasn't I?" Kameki sat back in his chair again, throwing his feet over the arm of it to resume his previous position.

Yuichi dropped his face in disbelief, rolling his eyes at Kameki.
"And look where that got you." He looked over to the table where his drink sat, it was too far for him to reach. "You could have just filed a sexual harassment form, you know that right?"

Running his fingers through his hair, Kameki tossed his shoulder length brown hair over the arm of the chair as he rested his neck around it.
"Yeah that's a good idea. It would just go through him anyways."

It was obvious that the seeming beautiful man had a short fuse and wasn't afraid to show it. As for the other five in the household, they were the defender system that activated when he got to the end of his short fuse. The room went silent as their conversation ended; the only noise was that of the humming from the refrigerator in the other room, and the packaging of Tetsuya's Pocky every time he reached for a new one.

The large television above a mantle in the living room that the six men sat in had turned on to a white screen. A woman's face appeared on the screen, she was an obvious beautiful woman for her age.
"Good evening boys. How are you?" A camera above the television had turned on, giving video feed of the six boys to the woman. "Looking beautiful as always." The woman cooed the six men, trying to make them feel good about themselves.

Kameki clicked his tongue and looked away from the television; being called good looking was one comment that had always set off his fuse. One of the men had looked to the television with a slight blush, looking straight into the camera.
“You are so kind Madame.” Tetsuya had dropped his feet to the floor and came to attention for the woman on the television screen. “What brings you to call us at such a time? Is it not late where you are Madame?” Tetsuya was sucking up; he had not been paying attention for the entire length of the men’s conversation, yet when a beautiful woman came around, Tetsuya was all ears.

“Oh stop you, no need for compliments.” The woman on the screen appeared to be sitting in a hotel room; with the set up of the penthouse styled room, she was abroad for the time being. “I am just calling to give you a heads up that you all will be having a new roommate living in the household until you all graduate university.”

University, for the member of the household with the shortest degree of education, that was four years away. For the majority of the men in the household, they were only in their second year of college, and studying hard everyday to get their education over and done with.
The member of the household with the shortest education was Shou, he had been attending post secondary school for architectural agriculture; his education was four years of university after his two years of college.
“A new roommate?” Shou looked to Kameki who would be obviously throwing a fit once they had got off of the video call with the owner of the home they were all staying in for cheap rent. “What is he like?”

The woman on the television screen looked away from her camera, biting both her painted lips hard.
“The thing is boys.” The woman looked back to her camera nervously as her brows furrowed. “It is not a man.”
All of the men in the living room shot their gaze up to the television shocked. They had all been living together for a year freely to be who they were, and they were just told that there was going to be a girl in the house soon; it overall was not good news to hear.
“A girl? What are we going to do with a girl in the house Madame?” For living in a household with six men, it was kept rather clean and cooking was done rather well every meal; the only aspect that these men lacked was that of manners towards each other. “Why does it have to be a girl Madame? Couldn't you pick a man to live with us?” Yuichi was one of the oldest in the house; sometimes he was seen as the parent only because of his age. Though he was one of the oldest, he did not act it; at this moment, he was concerned as to how Kameki was going to react after, his temper was not something that others like to test.

“Yuichi kun, do not question my decision for those who I wish to reside in my home. Remember I can evict you at any given time and send you out onto the streets.” Her tone had dropped to a serious, motherly tone, talking to those childish men who were living in her home while she was abroad. “If you must know though, she is my niece.” At that moment, all the boys looked away from the television in shame; family matters were not something outsiders should ever intrude in.
“She should be arriving in Tokyo sometime this evening, so make sure that the house looks presentable please if it does not already.” The woman sent a beaming smile before she looked at her watch. Hopping up out of her chair, she knelt down and looked into the camera closely. “Take care everyone. I have some business to attend to.” She waved off as she closed her camera, turning the television screen black.

The six men looked to the center of the room in silence, taking a moment to absorb this foreign information.
Jumping up out of his chair dramatically, Kameki had stomped his feet on the ground over and over as he jumped up and down angrily.
“Why! Why! Why!” He grabbed fistfuls of his long, brown hair angrily as he shook his head back and forth. “A woman! Never!” Kameki may have had a beautiful face, but he had a very ugly soul when it came to other’s feelings.
